BABY MASSAGE

We offer Baby Massage groups and sessions using trained IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage) Instructors. Baby Massage is a great opportunity for parent or carer to focus on baby, and can be helpful for soothing and relaxing babies. Babies can generally attend between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 months. When it's not possible to run in-person groups due to Covid-19 restrictions we run online classes via Zoom. Contact us for more details about what is currently available.

PEEP GROUPS

PEEP Groups are for parents or carers and their children. Peep group sessions generally include the following core activities: a focus from the Learning Together programme (eg 'Babies making choices' or 'Babies on the move'); songs and rhymes; a story time; activities with the children; a talking time for adults (to share experiences and ideas); book-sharing and the opportunity to borrow books and play packs (or information about where and how to do so).

  • Peep for Babies is for the 0-12 months old age range. It normally runs at Tynecastle Community Wing, Gorgie Memorial, Rannoch Centre, and South Queensferry Community Centre, and online when meeting is not possible due to Covid restrictions.

  • Fun to Be One is a group for 1-2 year olds and their parents/carers. It normally runs at Tynecastle Community wing and Gorgie Memorial when possible, and online when not.

WHAT IS PEEP?

Peep was set up in 1995 to support parents to enhance their babies' and children's learning and development and improve their life chances. The evidence-based Learning Together programme supports all parents to create the best start for their children by making the most of everyday learning opportunities at home – listening, talking, playing, singing and sharing stories and books.

OTHER GROUP OPPORTUNITIES

We also run buggy walks and other group opportunities on an ad hoc basis for families attending our groups or involved with us.
